Thank you for another insightful Receptionscope conversation. I had some great takeaways… Knowing what is essential/what needs immediate attention is very important! I’m glad that there were some examples of this. In my day to day, the people in front of me are most important, and the phones come next! After that, I can assist everyone personally if things like the coffee bar need to be tended to! I try to offer a water to everyone upon entry and at the end of their visit I ask “How did everything go?! How are you feeling? Have any fun plans for the weekend?” It lets me, the receptionist, get to know the patient, and allows me to set the tone of their appointment when they walk in! It’s best to be greeted with a smile and let everyone know that I am here to assist them! I am definitely passionate about being at the front desk, customer service is what I consider to be my #1 priority. I want patients to feel comfortable, and also make sure that they are being given the utmost professionalism. Letting patients know that I am here for them and they can give me a call anytime has really helped!
